    Seriously, people need to start being nicer to one another. We wouldn’t have a quarter of the problems we have now if we all would just get along.

    Thanks a ton for the vid!! It helped me out when I bought my espresso machine on a spur of the moment a couple of months ago.

    And for real peeps…

    1: Getting mad and super competitive over coffee = LAME.
    This vid is probably for espresso noobs, such as myself. It greatly helped me figure out wtf I was doing.

    2: Trying to make yourself feel better or look better than another person by saying they can’t spell = LAME.
    That insult is old and just stupid. GET OVER YOURSELVES

    for the most part your videos are nicely presented. Some helpful hints like pulling your milk FIRST then your espresso shots because 10 seconds is an eternity in terms of flavor loss.

    not many people dont, just dose and tamp. i think they are just after speed in a cafe setting they dont have time to collapse and level, yes, sad, i know.

    My never comes out that thick, what could i be doing wrong ? My usually looks like normal coffee with white foamy kinda on top.

    @Avatarcz a few reasons.. your grinds are not fine enough, and your tamp is not enough pressure. all of these are contributing factors to poor crema. I bet it tastes really sour too!!

    @panhead88 well, most places wouldn’t dose so much that it over fills the basket like that, then a simple firm tap on a bench will do the collapsing and levelling. It really depends on what your technique is. Its not necessary to fill that much with a grind on demand machine either, you can get it to dose specific amounts based on weight.

    @hotsalvation101
    Yea my grains are definitely not fine and my tamper is plastic so that would explain it THX a lot.

    Fresh beans, fresh beans. Dont buy your coffee from the supermarket. Just treat yourself once by ordering from a local/national roaster, youll immediately notice the difference.
